Project Dashboard
Cost-OS provides a Project Dashboard and Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) with 10 levels of drilldown.
This allows customers to organize their project data by location (Office), project type, client, date, size, project status, etc. Cost-OS has a powerful search engine that helps to locate project data for comparison and bench marking.
Embedded 2D Takeoff
Cost-OS has 2D Takeoff embedded. While working in your estimate with Cost-OS, just click a button to open 2D Takeoff to calculate quantities from pdf or dwg drawings. You have the option to use either one or both...you decide.
Embedded Takeoff within Assemblies
Parametric
Assemblies are created to reduce repetitive pricing of constants within projects. Assemblies and Construction Systems will cut takeoff time in half, increase accuracy and eliminate omissions.
Embedded 3D/BIM Takeoff
Cost-OS has embedded BIM takeoff using IFC files from sources like Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla, Bentley, Intergraph, DDS etc. Just navigate the model, auto-select elements, associate with database items (or create new ones), click go and produce a fully described, measured and priced estimate, directly from the model.
Cost-OS can also load a revised model side by side and the change in quantities are
automatically detected (i.e. what’s changed, inserted or
deleted). Because
we associate cost
Items
to the model itself
then
the revised cost is also
automatically
calculated.

Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Use Cost-OS to store historical cost information
in a database that can be shared. Each item contains group codes (Sort Codes)
used to organize the estimate and reports. The names and structure of these
Group Codes are defined by the Administrator. Each Group Code provides 9 levels of
drill down that provide 81 “buckets” that are used to group
estimate cost & hours.

These group codes can also capture the client’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and can be used to factor estimate and summary data. There are 2 project specific WBS codes
– 9 levels each.
