Cost-OS v8.3.130 Implementation is in Full Swing!

Throughout the new year, current Cost-OS users have been updating to CostOS v8.3.130! With newly added features, as well as improvements upon past features, the software update has proven to be extremely successful.

Updated features include:

1) Resource Summaries View

Quickly view the totals for quantities, unit rates or costs for all of your resources in one place. You can easily sort by, rearrange, add or remove columns within the summary view as you see fit.

Verify all resource totals directly within Cost-OS... No need to print an entirely separate report!

2) New Administrative Permissions

An added "user management" tab allows you to easily view and manage the abilities of various Cost-OS users.

The newly added role, titled "Create/Edit Layouts (Master Database,)" allows non-admin to perform just as the title implies and make or edit changes within the Master Database itself.

3) Input Argument Standardization

While utilizing the CostOS embedded takeoff tool, any input argument that has a quantity takeoff component will automatically carry over the input argument name if creating a new measurement.

Although the name can be further edited from there, CostOS has added this default setting for your convenience.

4) Assembly Title Formulas

Assembly Title/Quantity Formulas allow CostOS users to accurately calculate the total quantity for the assembly.

View total groups/sections of items as a cohesive unit to accurately calculate unit rates within the estimate.

5) BIM Automation

With the BIM takeoff model embedded in the system, CostOS assemblies are able to read property data associated with all elements within a model.
